PROJECT 906
- Colin (VK4UV) and Stefan (VK4CDS) will give a presentation on building low cost Transverters for 10/24/47 GHz with low-cost benefits ease of build. See us on the April 2026 Meeting.

10MHz OCXO
Maybe an outlay of $100/150 plus, depending on your spares box.

rev 1-12 See below for dimensions
Tuned to 5112 MHz x2 (144.00MHzIF) or 4968 MHz x 2 (432 MHz IF)
EVANESCENT MODE WAVEGUIDE FILTER dimensions to follow. SEE HERE for more info also here

RASPBERRY PI P2040 using the fantastic software from G4EML See HERE
then a simple (Dual) BAT-15-04W or 2 BAT15-03w in parallel

BAT 15-04W Data sheet here

And a PTT change over relay arrangement will be required like this also above. Thanks to VK4KYT (Luke) found this on relay. Also here: RF/ Attenuater Soldered to an SMA then fit the SMA into an old Foxtel LNB using that as a simple horn antenna
Now this system on 10Ghz might do 50Klm hilltop to hilltop using 600mm dishes (confirmed 85Klm on 3/5/2026VK4UV/CDS) but it is a cheap way

MAX2870 requires a capacitor(102) and an inductor be removed from PC Board “ONLY USE THIS ” this must be programmed to 5112MHz x2 (144.00MHzIF) 4968 MHz x 2 (432 MHz IF). Read the G4EML programming of this device on his site.
